Cookie Policy

This policy explains how Tradesmen's Websites uses cookies and similar browser technologies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a website is visited. Similar technologies may store or access information in a browser for security, functionality, preferences, measurement or advertising.

2. How this website currently uses technology

The marketing website is built with Microsoft Blazor. It may use strictly necessary technical functionality to establish an interactive connection, protect requests, maintain security and deliver the website reliably.

We use Google Analytics for website measurement, Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the website, and Meta advertising measurement through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API. The Google tag uses Consent Mode and is present with analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel are not loaded unless a visitor accepts optional cookies, and Meta Conversions API events are only sent after the same optional consent has been recorded.

3. Strictly necessary technologies

Strictly necessary technologies support core functions such as:

• Maintaining the secure operation of the Blazor application.
• Protecting forms and requests against misuse.
• Balancing traffic, maintaining availability and diagnosing faults.
• Remembering your cookie choice using the first-party tw_cookie_consent_v2 preference value so both the browser and server can honour it.

These technologies cannot always be disabled through our website because the service may not operate correctly without them. Browser settings may still allow you to block or delete stored data.

4. Google Fonts

The website currently requests the Rethink Sans font from Google Fonts. This may cause technical information, including an IP address and browser details, to be sent to Google when the font is downloaded. We may move the font to local hosting before public launch to reduce third-party requests.

5. Google Business Profile search and maps

The onboarding form can search Google Maps Platform for a business profile. That search is sent from our server to Google's Places API and does not require us to load an interactive Google search script into your browser.

If you follow a link to Google Maps, you leave our website and Google's own cookie and privacy practices apply. Customer websites may also display an embedded Google Map after a business profile is connected. Google may process technical information and use cookies or similar technologies when an embedded map is loaded. Each customer website should describe its own use of embedded maps and obtain any consent required for its circumstances.

6. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta advertising measurement

The Google tag supplied by Google is present in the page with Consent Mode v2 set to deny analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation by default. Before consent, it does not set Google Analytics cookies, although Google may receive limited cookieless consent and measurement signals. If you accept optional cookies, analytics storage is granted so Google Analytics can help us understand how the website is used. The advertising consent settings remain denied. Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel are loaded only after optional consent, and our server only sends Meta Conversions API events when the same optional consent choice is recorded.

Depending on your journey through the website, we may send measurement events such as a page view, selecting the demonstration website, starting Stripe checkout, reaching the successful subscription page and starting or completing the website onboarding process. These events do not intentionally include the business details, onboarding form answers or payment-card information you provide to us.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser identifiers, including cookies whose names begin with _ga. The website removes the Stripe Checkout reference from the page location sent with our manually generated analytics page views.

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand interactions such as clicks, scrolling, navigation, heatmaps and session recordings so we can identify usability problems. When optional consent is accepted, Clarity may use cookies including _clck and _clsk to associate page views with a visitor and session. We do not intentionally send onboarding form answers or payment-card information to Clarity.

The Meta Pixel may use cookies or similar browser identifiers, including Meta identifiers such as _fbp and, where relevant, _fbc. When optional consent has been accepted, our server may also send selected checkout and purchase events to Meta through the Conversions API. Checkout events can include the browser's IP address, user-agent and Meta browser identifiers. A completed purchase may include a one-way SHA-256 hash of the email address supplied to Stripe. We do not send payment-card details to Meta. Meta may combine information received through its business tools with information it already holds in accordance with its own privacy terms.

7. Managing cookies

You can use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking essential technologies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly. You can also use the Cookie settings link in the website footer at any time to accept or reject optional marketing cookies.

8. Updates

We will update this policy when our use of cookies or third-party technology changes. The latest version will always display its update date.
